On-Call Staff

Our On-Call staff will work on an as-needed basis, in a variety of urban settings.  The number of hours will vary depending on need, and will increase throughout the year for reliable candidates.  Staff must commit to time slots during which they will be available.   Positions are currently available in the following areas:

Tutors

We are seeking experienced and engaging tutors who will assist youth in student’s home or at a mutually agreed-upon location.  Individuals with strong math and literacy backgrounds, as well as those with experience with at-risk youth, will be given preference.

Community Interpreters

We are seeking confident, experienced translators to assist children and families with community resources, school-related documents and meetings, and in other situations where translation is needed.  We are looking for individuals with proficiency in the following languages:

• Spanish
• Arabic
• Karen
• Burmese
• Somali
• American Sign Language

Teacher’s Aides

Teacher’s Aides will be responsible for working closely with parents, teachers, and others to develop and follow-through with a plan for at-risk youth, targeted at improving behavioral issues and academic success.  Preference will be given to Aides experienced in dealing with at-risk populations.
